The 2Spirits Board is proud to announce the appointment of Rochelle Byrne as Chief Executive Officer during this important transition period for the organisation.

This appointment represents a key step in ensuring stability, continuity, and strong leadership as 2Spirits continues its vital work supporting the health, wellbeing, and cultural strength of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander LGBTIQ+ Sistergirl and Brotherboy peoples across Queensland.

Rochelle Byrne brings over a decade of leadership experience across community service sector, focusing on child, youth and families, domestic violence and mental health, with a demonstrated commitment to advancing equity, cultural security, and community self-determination. Their leadership will ensure that 2Spirits continues to be guided by our core values: cultural integrity, respect, and peer-led inclusion.

Reflecting on the appointment, Jen Toonen, Chair of the 2Spirits Board, said:
