Membership

We offer two types of applications to become a member of 2Spirits Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Corporation for Queensland LGBTIQ+ Sistergirl and Brotherboy Health and Wellbeing: one for individuals and one for organisations


By joining, you’ll contribute to supporting health and wellbeing initiatives for our communities.

Eligibility

Red circular shape

A person is eligible to become an Ordinary Member if the person:

• Is Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander
• Is aged 18 years or over.
• Resides in Queensland.
• Identifies as an LGBTIQ+SB person.
• Is not an employee or contractor to the corporation.
• Signs a written commitment that the person will abide by this rule book.

Red circular shape

A person is eligible to become an Associate Member if the person does not meet the eligibility for Ordinary Membership and:


• Is aged 18 years or over.
• Has aligning interests in the corporation and its objectives.
• Signs a written commitment that the person will abide by this rule book.

An organisation is eligible to become an Ordinary Organisational Member if:


• It's an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander community-controlled organisation.
• The head office in Queensland.
• Has aligning interests in the corporation and its objectives.
• Is seeking admission for membership, if it is an entity (and not a natural person), must nominate a natural person to be its representative.
• The representative must sign a written commitment that they will abide by this rule book.

An organisation is eligible to become an Associate Organisational Member if the organisation does not meet the eligibility for Ordinary Organisational Membership and:


• The organisation has aligning interests in the corporation and its objectives.
• The organisation, if it is an entity, must nominate a natural person to be its representative.
• The representative must sign a written commitment that they will abide by this rule book.
